The short version

This site sets no cookies and shows no ads. We only learn who you are if you write to us or sign up for news, and then we keep only what we need to answer you or write to you. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Who is responsible

Velosoft runs velosoft.dev and decides what happens to the data described here. Write to contact@velosoft.dev about anything on this page. Our full details are on the legal page.

Visiting the site

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and keep the site safe from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser and the page you asked for. We do not keep logs of visits ourselves.

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not track you across sites. It tells us things like which pages are read and which country visits come from, as totals.

If you write to us

When you use the contact form, we store your name, email address, the topic you picked and your message, so we can read it and reply. If you email us directly, your email is handled by our mail provider in the same way. We use it for nothing else. Messages sent through the form are deleted automatically after 12 months.

If you sign up for news

We store your email address, when you signed up, the page you signed up on, and the exact wording you agreed to (currently: “Email me news about Project MELTDOWN and Velosoft's games. I can unsubscribe at any time.”). We pass your address to our mailing service, EmailOctopus, which emails you a link to confirm it. You are only on the list once you click that link; until then you get nothing else from us. We use your address only to email you news about our games. Every email has a link to unsubscribe, and you can also write to contact@velosoft.dev.

We keep your address until you unsubscribe. After that the mailing service keeps it marked as unsubscribed, and we keep the record of when you signed up and what you agreed to, so we never add you again by mistake and can show that you asked to stop.

The spam check on our forms

Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a script, is sending them. It loads from Cloudflare only once you start filling in a form, and reads signals from your browser to make that check. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Why we are allowed to

Who else handles it

Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site, the forms’ database and the spam check, as our processor. Cloudflare may process data outside your country; its data processing agreement covers those transfers with standard contractual clauses.

EmailOctopus (Three Hearts Digital Ltd, in the United Kingdom) keeps our mailing list and sends our news emails, as our processor. It stores the list in the European Union. See EmailOctopus’s privacy policy.

We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to contact@velosoft.dev and we will answer within a month. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
